Water Lily 'Carnea Nymphaea Marliacea Carnea'

The faint blush pink of the flowers look almost white on first glance.  The faint pink flowers are 10-12 cm wide, the leaves are 20-25 cm wide, and the overall plant spread is 1-1,5 m.

This outstanding ‘Marliacea Carnea’ water lily is suited to any size pond, particularly medium to large ponds.  It even tends to bloom in partially shaded ponds! It needs plenty of space to grow, so makes an excellent choice for a lake or large, deep, wildlife pond.  

When you are wondering which location to choose for your water plants, we have some pieces of advice. Firstly, take into account if it is a sunny place or not, because that is the main factor for the plants' development. Secondly, make sure that you have fertile swamp in your reservoir. In case you did not, there is no worry, as you can prepare it easily by yourself. In order to achieve it, you must get a basket which measures at least 28x28 cm and place a small amount of granular or plain manure mixed with much more compost or soil. It is worth leaving some space at the top, because in this way it can be improved with a thick layer of 8-16 cmm stones of grit. Placing many plants in one container is prohibited. Eventually, select shallow water for the initial phase of growth and wait up to the day when you see the first leaves.
