It is no wonder that experts voted this “Hardy Waterlily of 2005.” It was dedicated by Dr. Kirk Strawn in 1993 to Joey Tomocik of the Denver Botanical Gardens, who named it for his daughter.
Its flowers are held several inches above emerald green leaves. The yellow flowers are 10-12 cm wide, the leaves are 20-25 cm wide, and the overall plant spread is 1-1,5 m
It is no doubt you want your plants to develop both quickly and adequately. For this purpose, you have to consider the level of insolation in the destined pond – the bigger it will be, the better. If you ordered many plants, place them all together, because it also will be beneficial for their growth. They need some fertile ground to develop, of course, thus when there is no such natural base in your water reservoir, make it by yourself. All you have to do is get a container of 28x28 cm or more and pour some soil with a bit of manure in it. At the top, a thick layer of grit ought to be placed and it is strongly advised to use 8-16 mm stones. For a start, let the plants grow in a shallow water, till you notice their initial leaves.
